Jeremy C. Lundgren

Fire Inspector, Captain Jeremy Charles Lundgren, Dover Air Force Base Fire & Emergency Services, died on March 31, 2023 after falling ill following a structure fire.  He was 32 years of age.  Jeremy was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he attended Tyngsboro schools.  Upon graduation, he entered the United States Air force and while stationed in Dyess, Texas, began his career in Fire Protection Services.

During Jeremy’s 11 year service in the Air Force, he spent 8 of those years as a firefighter and three as an Airman Leadership School Instructor.  He was deployed twice to the Middle East and once to South Korea.  Jeremy was awarded the Meritorious Service medal and three Air Force Commendation medals.  Upon completion of his military service as a Master Sergeant, Jeremy continued to serve his country as a civilian firefighter at Dover Air Force Base, where he was a Station Chief and a Fire Inspector.   

As a youngster, Jeremy enjoyed many adventures and Christmas Eves with his grandparents and his aunts, uncles and cousins on fun trips to New Hampshire and with his parents to visit “Grammy & Grampy in the mountains”.  As a teen, Jeremy enjoyed playing football and lacrosse in addition to getting together with his many friends. 

Jeremy is survived by his children Kinleigh Christine and Mason Leonard, and their mother Megan Gilbert (USAF); his parents Gregory Lundgren of Maine, and Lisa and Michael Chagnon (USAF Ret) Camden-Wyoming and sister Amanda Lundgren (USAF veteran) also of Camden-Wyoming.  Jeremy also leaves behind his best friend Ali Bueshi and BFF cousin, Kyle Courtney.
