Delaware Firefighter Day at Legislative Hall - Dover

April 28, 2015, was Delaware Day at Legislative Hall. This year the purpose was for each member to meet with their legislators to discuss issues concerning the fire service. Talking points were distributed by the DVFA to all the fire service folks in attendance. About 30 members of the fire companies attended and made a good showing with their legislators. DVFA President Anthony Guzzo and EM Warren Jones as well as Senator Ennis and Representative Carson meet with Speaker Schwartzkopf. Past President Jasper Lakey received special recognition from some of the legislators in the House Chambers as did NCCVFA President Wally Poppe from Majority Leader Valerie Longhurst. Later all the DVFA Officers meet with Governor Markell. It was a good day for the Delaware Fire Service.
