Reuben was a member of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department.
Reuben Asbury Steward was a charter member of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Steward was the former owner of the Seaford Marble Works and was a past master of the Hiram Lodge, A.F. and A.M. He was elected to the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association Hall of Fame. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith W. Adams Steward and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Louise R. Watkins. Reuben A. Steward was interred in the family plot, next to his wife and parents in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
