Arthur is currently a member of the Odessa Fire Company.
Arthur I. "Ike" Guessford has served as President of the Odessa Fire Company, President of the New Castle County Volunteer Firefighter's Association and served on the Delaware Fire Prevention Commission. Ike was bestowed the title of "President Emeritus" of the Odessa Fire Company. Ike Guessford is a member of the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association Hall of Fame.
