Thomas is currently a member of the South Bowers Volunteer Fire Company.
Thomas V. Baker, Sr. joined the South Bowers Fire Company in 1962 and is still an active member. During his tenure, he served as President of the South Bowers Fire Company, President of the Kent County Volunteer Firefighter's Association, and served on the Delaware State Fire Prevention Commission. Tom is a life member of South Bowers Fire Company, was the "Fireman of the Year" in 1986 and elected to the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association Hall of Fame. He is married to Anne E. Baker. They have one son, Thomas E. Baker, Jr., and two grandsons Seth and Scott.
